11-3 exbition by Giulio Di Sturco

An 8.9-magnitude earthquake hit off the east coast of Japan  on March 11th.  The quake, one of the largest in recorded history, triggered a tsunami that battered Japan's coast, killing hundreds and sweeping away cars, homes, buildings, and boats.
Despite being home to the world's largest breakwater, the port city of Kamaishi, in Iwate Prefecture, northeast Japan, was partially destroyed by the earthquake and tsunami. This former capital of Samurai steel production was the first bombarded by the US navy during WWII, and has survived several tsunamis in the past.
Now, the surviving residents are attempting to pick up the pieces, and start again their life.

Questions Without Answers: The World in Pictures by the Photographers of VII

Questions Without Answers is an ambitious book featuring a strikingly broad selection of photo stories. Photos documenting Barack Obama giving a speech on Afghanistan to American troops sit alongside a collection of portraits featuring famous cultural figures such as David Bowie and Bernardo Bertolucci. We move from an exploration of the spread and impact of AIDS in Asia to dispatches from the current economic crisis and its effect on those working in finance. The crucial work done by VII in documenting conflict - environmental, social and political, both violent and non-violent - is also represented, including stories from the war in Iraq, the crisis in Darfur and the terrible events of 9/11.

VII is made up of 11 eminent photographers - John Stanmeyer, Marcus Bleasdale, Alexandra Boulat, Ron Haviv, Gary Knight, Ed Kashi, Antonin Kratochvil, Joachim Ladefoged, Christopher Morris, Stephanie Sinclair and Franco Pagetti.
